Retired navy commander and army general arrested. nine attempts noted this year including an attack on Imelda Marcos. A 15 year old Marcos was allegedly targeted near a London school.

Candle sets home afire killing three children
In Opelika Alabama a family candle caused a fatal fire after the electricity was shut off for nonpayment. Mrs Maxine Colquitt, visiting a neighbor, lit a candle for light and found flames when she returned. Her three children Michael six Felicia four and Roslyn one died from smoke inhalation. The candle ignited a substance on a dressing table and the fire trapped them in a bedroom.
