Divers locate 1778 frigates in Narragansett Bay
Oceanographers from the University of Rhode Island recovered artifacts from sunken 1778 British frigates HMS Cerebus and HMS Lark in the east passage of Narragansett Bay. The team has $60 000 to raise, with $17 000 funded, and plans eight more months of recovery. Items bearing the British broad arrow mark were found but no ship-identifying material yet.
