Card play showdown in top competition
A careful bridge hand leads to a heart return won by dummy s queen and a spade wags to the jack. North lets it hold. A diamond to dummy s ace, then dummy s queen of spades ruffed by South and overruffed by declarer. Now dummy s diamond to his king, ace hearts cashed to exhaust South s last trump, one trick apiece in spades diamonds and clubs. Not sensational, but typical of high level play.
