HUD Offical Removed After Protest Over Reassignment
CHICAGO An HUD official Craig A Ford was removed from his office by security police after an overnight protest over a reassignment to a program that reimbursed home repairs. Ford, paid 24540 yearly, was placed on indefinite administrative leave but will still receive salary. He alleges racial motives and retaliation against his housing integration efforts while Waner cites backlog needs in the reimbursement program. In New York a former detective David Greenberg says the Bahamas arrest of Robert Hantz was a setup connected to the Batman and Robin police team origins. Hantz was seized with four marijuana cigarettes in a box of Q Tips. Greenberg claims a setup and political edge to the arrest.
