Uniform Licensing Sought for Bicycles in County
Supervisor Pete Schabarum proposed a uniform method to license and register bicycles to aid law enforcement amid rising theft. The board ordered studies by the sheriff the CAO and the counsel on a licensing proposal and the central bicycle theft file. The plan envisions statewide registration tied to purchase and a state operated central file to record thefts and recoveries.
