Castro charges Nixon behind invasion at Cuban funeral
Fidel Castro denounced President Nixon as orchestrating a new Cuba invasion during a funeral service for five Cuban soldiers slain by Alpha 66 exiles. He linked the Miami group's attack to a long sequence of U.S. actions and warned that attackers would face firing squads if they landed. Alpha 66 claimed two fronts in Cuba and said many fighters were already there.
