University student withholds rare Frost books over library upgrades
Marshall Bank a 19 year old University of Richmond junior challenges the library to upgrade facilities or risk losing his signed rare volumes. He kept and cataloged Frost Selected Poems and other works including a 1928 first edition and 1868 Whittier edition, claiming poor handling and inscribed copies. He will not return by April 24 and seeks compromise while library officials cite future improvements and note no theft charges as the books were checked out with a university card.
