New Boat Ride To Work In Pacific Coast Spring
A whimsical city note describes John Kreger using a 14 foot outboard boat to reach his Wilmington office from Naples, with Lt. Gordon Peay as a passenger. He found the trip rough but quicker than shore traffic, while Mrs. Krieger preferred using the family car. The column also notes festival prize Rosemary Hudson’s trip to Mexico City, a planned May 17 wedding, and a bridal menu mix up at Torrance City Hall. It ends with a joke about a Swedish toilet paper souvenir from a Swedish liner and a travel writer’s lilac misadventure at Acton.
