Denmark to Reject Soviet Note on Atomic Bases
Denmark will reject a Soviet note warning against permitting atomic weapon bases on its soil. Premier H. C. Hansen told Parliament the government will send the reply to Moscow after the Foreign Relations Committee reviews the matter. He denied that Danish territory would be used for aggression against the Soviet Union and said Denmark seeks peaceful East West relations. In other news, Cmdr. Capt. Wilde will be reassigned and Winifred Redden Quick, 45, named director of the Navy’s WAVE organization in July, succeeding Kathleen Wilde.
