Approaching Menopause Aims to Ease the Transition
Long Beach physician Dr. Benefield led a talk titled Approaching Menopause Cause for Concern at the Pacific Coast Campus. She said menopause stems from reduced estrogen and brings hot flashes, sleep issues, and mood changes, but view it as a new life phase rather than illness. She urged regular exercise, good diet, and counseling for both women and their partners to manage changes and maintain intimate relationships.
