In Santa Barbara County the Petro Mechanics Division of Borg Warner plans a trial using supersonic gear at the Porter lease, Douglas Oil Co. No. 82-23 in Sec. 23 9N 33W, with a zig rented from Long Beach. If successful, the well becomes Douglas Oil property.
