The Fortnightly Club enjoyed an afternoon at Mrs J B Stone s home with full attendance. Mrs Stone hosted a congenial crowd and led a series of 500 games followed by delicious refreshments amid compliments. It was one of the club s happiest meetings in some time.

NORVELLE MILL BURNED IN RAILROAD DISTRICT FIRE

A double blaze on Monday night destroyed two mills along the P. N. W. railroad line. The Kilgore Lumber Co near Mevins suffered fire damage and the Maxwell hub factory at Norvelle was consumed after igniting from shavings piles. Maxwell reportedly had no insurance on the plant.
