Ukash California June 27 B N Springer a former county surveyor candidate now in Potter Valley says he is heir to a Wilmington Delaware estate valued at 90 million dollars. Christopher Springer died in 1789 leaving vast city land and Pennsylvania farming rights leased to a Swedish church for 99 years. The lease expired in 1880 and many Springers seek a claim to the fortune.
Fred Harlow of Newark Ohio won the grand American handicap at Arlington range in a shoot-off against Alfred Henderson of Lexington Kentucky. Each shot 92 of 100. Harlow broke 18 of 20 in the deciding rounds and Henderson 17. The rivals had tied for first honors after 100 targets.
