T L May Killed by Passenger Train

T L May an aged farmer living five miles south of Prescott was killed this morning by passenger train No 8 near his home while walking along the track on a trestle. A coroner’s inquest found death due to being struck by the Iron Mountain Road train as a witness described the moments before the incident.

Land near Nashville crosses to St Louis syndicate colony

A 000 acres tract near the crossings of the road and the Memphis Paris and Gulf lines northeast of Nashville is to be sold to a St Louis syndicate for a colony of small farmers. Mr. Elson will run offices in Kansas City St Louis Nashville and Paralonia and plans to bring many settlers to the area within the year.

Big Ditch Drainage Project Underway in Boggy Lake District

In Arkansas City the large drainage ditch near Boggy Lake District is about half finished, with four and a half tiles remaining. The project will affect 88 000 acres, raise land values, spur industrial growth, and enable profitable cultivation. Estimated cost is 175 000 dollars, to be repaid over 12 years. Work started January 28 under contractor G A McWitham, who continues around the clock.

No Decision Yet on Railroad Route Extension

General Manager C. Hend son of the Memphis Paris and railroad said Tuesday two surveyors are surveying an extension from Murfreesboro to Little Rock via Graysonia and Arkadelphia. Three routes are proposed: the current surveyed path and two from Murfreesboro to Hot Springs via Amity and via Glenwood. No decision has been made.

Boys Break Camp at Camp Roots Ends Near Hot Springs

Case Opens In Nevada Chancery Over Artesian Church Title
