Campaign for Internal Revenue tax drive announced

Jack Walker of Internal Revenue announced a two month nationwide drive to collect delinquent sales and other taxes including soft drink, jewelry, toilet articles and proprietary medicines taxes. A 2,000 member force will target cities with inspectors and deputies to prosecute willful evasion and impose heavy penalties.

El Dorado Arkansas reports Baxter Albright dies at 8 detock last night raising the death toll to four from Sunday's gas well blast. Miss Margaret Ramsey remains in dying condition while Ruth Gaughan and Fred Hays of Camden are expected to recover. Josephine Gaughan, also a victim, has died. A proclamation suspends business for 30 minutes to honor the dead and funeral arrangements begin for Albright.
