Union Baptist High School Commencement Attracts Community
The Union Baptist High School held its May 1907 commencement with Rev. W A Freeman delivering the sermon and Miss Pearl Potter winning a gold medal in the literary contest. Prayers, elocution and music filled the day, with Miss Lou Wells and Miss Alice Caldwell praised for teaching, and Prof Langston of Alabama named as next year’s principal.

Ross Bostic Marries Miss Zella Ross In County Ceremony
At three o'clock this afternoon J W Bostic of this county and Miss Zella Ross of Ololona were married at the bride's home in a small gathering. The couple departed for Little Rock and Hot Springs and will return Saturday to Mr Bostic's home near Prescott.

Teacher’s Institute Aims for Profitable Session
An extra interest was shown in this morning's work. Prof. Sullards was unable to conduct the exercises but the work was taken up by Prof. Chappell and others in a way that shows they are determined to make this a profitable institute to all. He has material for state and professional license examinations and is expected to resume this afternoon. Enrollment reached sixty four by noon with many more expected.
