Steve Carrigan Sr Dies in Farm Accident Near Hope
Hope residents mourn Steve Carrigan Sr born 1860 in the county. He was a major landowner and farm owner who died instantly when a shotgun discharged while he opened a gate. Little Rock June 6 The prediction by State Highway Commissioner W B Owen that 1917 would see 25 000 automobiles in Arkansas appears to be verified. Through today 22 653 licenses have been issued versus 15 425 in all of 1916 and new licenses continue at about 500 per week.
