Emperor Impostor and American Poacher Courted by Emperor
An American hunter in Missouri pretends to be a German emperor in Germany. The impostor, Borngesser, is treated as royalty at a shooting lodge while the real authorities reveal the ruse with a sum of thalers. The farce ends with Borngesser paying for the bet and learning he has acted as a poacher on imperial preserve.
