Watermelons for Christmas at Texarkana store
A large watermelon grown by Mr R F Wigginbotham north of Texarkana on a July 1 vine remains green and fresh in a show window at the Prince Racket Store on East Broad Street. The fruit, of the Southern Rattle Snake variety, measures about eighteen inches and weighs ten to twelve pounds. Wigginbotham plans to cut it for Christmas, a rare southern luxury.

$100 000 Annex Doomed At Pine Bluff Riverbank
