Boy Receives Seven Stitches After Lip Laceration
William Blane age 11 of 14842 Troy Street was rushed to Hazelcrest Hospital on July 30 by Sgt LaBrec for a severe upper lip cut requiring seven stitches after a rock flew from under a power mower during weed cutting in a prairie. He was confined to home for several days.

Hit and Run Injures Man Crossing Street
Early Saturday Valerian Reznik of 14508 Division was struck on 145th Street at Division. He suffered a broken left leg and severe injuries including facial lacerations and a possible shoulder dislocation. He was found by Dennis Sarna and taken to Ingalls Hospital by a city rescue team. Police investigation continues under Sergeants Sarna and LaBrec.

Several vandalism acts have occurred in Posen over the past weeks. Windows at Harding School were broken. A bird bath was stolen from Walter Zimny and smashed in the street. Flower pots were taken from the Stanley Pecka residence on Palmer Ave and smashed in the street. Police are pursuing suspects and promise severe action if caught.
