Distel Martin Gas Company Hits New Well Near Kentucky
A gas well estimated at 2,000,000 cubic feet was drilled by Distel Martin Gas near Stephensboro Kentucky on Thursday. Dr George Martin informed president LM Martin about the discovery. The well, thought to be the largest in the region, attracted attention from Dr and Mrs George Martin and Mr and Mrs Fumes Distel as the company held roughly 12 000 acres around the Hess well.

Man Roosa Found Guilty of Assault in Pike County
In Pike County Common Pleas Court Judge G W Rittenour presided as jurors found Benton township resident Joli Roosa guilty of assault and battery for striking Preston Butter on the head during a quarrel in Henry Faulkner’s farm area in Denton township about two months ago. Sentencing to follow. Roosa was defended by Doond F. Smith of Waverly with Earl W. Parker for the state.
