In Jerusalem on June 2 a British court considers the release of two officers amid a wider probe into Jewish groups. Reports say 20 suspects face trial before the Batin court as arrests widen. The atmosphere remains tentative with no decisive evidence presented to date.
Dr Leona Wise Felsted a former dean of girls at Portsmouth High School has been announced by President BoBe Burgeishler to join Ohio Wesleyan University. A Leip sic native, she served at Portsmouth from 1931 to 1956 before moving to Illinois Wesleyan University as a professor of education where she has worked since. Felsted will assume her new duties at Ohio Wesleyan in August.
William Gallagher a 33 year old lieutenant in the Columbus fire department and former Wellston resident, is named Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council 400. He has served 12 years with Columbus Fire Department and led fire alarm operations, succeeding Henry I. Holden as officer slate officers set for July.

Herald W. Wilhel, manager for Keystone Pries, was elected president at a Dayton meeting of the Ohio Printers federation. Miss Jane Millar daughter of Mr and Mrs A F Millar of Millar Farms Lucesville has been appointed supervisor of city playgrounds in Columbus She will manage an instructor at each playground with one area under general supervision Millar formerly taught physical education at the Webber School for Girls Lake Wales Fla last year and has been preparing for the open fall term
