PMHA executive director Joseph A Emnett led the event with attendees expected to include Rep William H Harsha and Speaker Vernal Riffe but they were unable to attend. The 120 one bedroom units feature living areas, kitchens, baths and private balconies on most floors with ground broken in 1976 and moving in beginning Jan 4 1977. the project was a joint effort of the village urban renewal program and PMHA.

Wallace Cooper 55 of Vanceburg Rt 5 was killed in a crash on State Route 8 nine miles west of here Thursday around 8 am. His car ran off the road, down an embankment, and struck a tree.
