New Philadelphia June 2 AP canalization of the Tuscarawas and Muskingum rivers from Dover to Dresden is impractical and would cost 154 million according to a neighbor's report to the Muskingum Tuscarawas valley improvement association. The report recommends levees for flood control and water conservation along streams near Massillon Newcomerstown and Zanesville.
Pendry has withdrawn his application for Lutcaster schools superintendent. Lancaster board deferred appointment at a recent meeting, carrying the matter to a July session. Pendry is taking a special course of study in Columbus.
W. W. Bauer faced arraignment in quadcipal court Tuesday before Judge W. R B. Sprague on contempt of court and assault charges. The case was continued until Saturday at 9 a.m. Seven traffic offenders appeared before Judge Sprague at Qooantuichpa court and were fined on intoxication charges.
