Funds Released For Deer Creek State Park Dam And Locks
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources released 1.2 million dollars for Deer Creek State Park recreation facilities in Pickaway and Fayette counties. A 485,672 dollar contract was awarded to R G Beer Corp of Mansfield for repairs to seven locks and lock gates on the Muskingum River in Morgan and Washington counties. Eight 4 H Club members from Pike County attended the 1971 Ohio 4 H Congress at Ohio State University, studying youth issues and exploring job opportunities in meat-related programs.
