McGraw Held For Grand Jury In Fatal Route 52 Crash
McGraw Lewis 31 of South Webster pleaded not guilty Monday to manslaughter and was held to the grand jury. Bond set at 1000. The May 28 death of Beverly Sue Sherman 7, daughter of Ralph and Mrs. Sherman, occurred near Wheelersburg as she crossed Route 52 in front of McGraw’s car. The complaint was filed June 14 and later moved to Municipal Court. McGraw surrendered at the sheriff’s office. State patrol and Sheriff Burli Justice found insufficient evidence of negligence in the 1948 case.
