Four people were injured when a southbound car left Fork Road, veered into a yard, struck a picnic table, and hit a tree near the residence of 61 year old Juanita Pinkerman in Waverly. The driver fled on foot into a wooded area. The injured include Mrs. Pinkerman 61 Michele Pinkerman 7 Judy Dunham 4 and James Wood 48. Mrs. Pinkerman and Michele Pinkerman were hospitalized in poor condition and the others in fair condition.
