Tronton Girl Killed By Car In Center Street Incident

Ironton Oho four year old Pamela Denise Moore was struck and killed Monday when she darted into the path of a car driven by Edward D Gavin of Pageville. Investigators said the driver swerved to avoid the child. no charges were filed. The death marks the city’s first traffic fatality of the year amid five county road deaths since January 1.

Bills Mailed For Second Payment Of County Taxes

Sacro County treasurer Ronald Greene reported about 13,000 tax bills mailed to county property owners. Last day for payment is August 10. owners who did not receive bills should visit the treasurer’s office. Second half real estate tax due totals 1,610,841 with 212,959 in unpaid delinquent taxes. Over 200 first half bills were returned due to wrong addresses with no forwarding address.
