Former United States circuit court of appeals judge Martin T. Manton received a two year federal prison term and a $16 000 fine in New York. The sentence was handed down after he was found guilty of corruption related offenses.

Three persons injured about 3 30 p m Monday in an accident on route 52 a half mile west of Wheelersburg Edith Rennecher 49 of Columbus suffered severe lacerations on both knees a bruised chest and head John Copeland 55 of Chicago had an injured knee and forehead and his daughter Diana Copeland 25 of Chicago was cut on her left cheek injured head and severe bruises Copeland and his daughter were admitted to Portsmouth General Hospital while Rennecher is at Taylor Clinic Sciotoville State highway patrolmen said the cars were traveling pulled to the left around another car it had been following.
