Waverly Gas Fire Threatens Homes
Waverly Ohio six firefighters including Fire Chief Earl James treated after heat exposure from a propane fire at Blue Flame Gas Co. Firefighters evacuated the nearby Waverly Heights subdivision fearing explosion. One firefighter, Mark Baliss, in good condition. James and four others treated and released. The blaze involved three large propane tanks containing 3530 gallons valued at over 131000 dollars. Firefighters extinguished the blaze about an hour later by shutting gas valves after crawling through flames in asbestos suits.
