Wife Of Engineer Hammond Dies In Washington

Mrs John Hays Hammond widow of the noted engineer died in Washington on June 13 after several weeks illness. Her four children John Hays Jr Harris Natalie were at her bedside except Richard I Hammond who was in Parks. Her 76 year old husband and sister, Max Charles Hoyle of Washington, were her attendants. Mrs Hammond was the former Natalie Harris daughter of cantor Nathaniel Harris of Null-Migs.

Two Hurt in Auto Mishap in Morgantown

A Ford touring car driven by Henry Great-Noure of near Idaho and an Essex coach driven by Herman McNell of Penile township collided in Morgantown on Wednesday. Creathouse and his mother M Charlies Greathouse, plus Delpha and Fansnie Greathouse, were in the Ford. Delpha suffered possible internal injuries and Fansnie chest pain. all were treated at Dr K R M Andre's office in Waverly. Mrs Greathouse and Creathouse, and McNell, escaped injury. The Ford was badly damaged while the Essex had minor damage. McNell was enroute to work at the George Keiser garage in Waverly when the accident occurred.

President's Special Through Again After Southern Stop

President Herbert Holver and party traversed South Ports mouth at 4 a.m. Thursday returning to Washington. Earlier they passed South Portsmouth en route to Indianapolis at 12:15 p.m. last Monday. The special train, engine 411 Huntington, changed at 5:15 a.m. Thursday and included seven Pullman and salon cars. They were returning from Springfield Alabama where the President spoke at the rededication of Lincoln's memorial.
