Body Identified From Ohio River Find in Ironton
Charles Brown, 33, of Ironton, identified by stepfather and relatives after his body was found in the Ohio River near Little Sandy. Brown, a coin dealer, had been despondent over health and his mother’s illness, and reportedly attempted suicide last Sunday. His body, at Fuechter funeral home in Ironton, will be examined by coroner Dr H H Holbrook.

CONTRACT AWARDED FOR CANAL ROAD BRIDGE WORK
The Ohio state highway department awarded Ross Construction Co of Columbus a contract for a steel beam bridge on State Route 112 in Newton and Pee Pee townships near Boswell Run south of Lake White. The job includes concrete deck superstructure and 0.45 mile of approaches. Low bid was 96048 with an engine dry estimate of 103200. completion set for July 41, 1949.
