Mitchell Osborne of Piketon collapsed from heat while working on a WPA road project at Lake White. coworkers rushed him to Dr. W. K. Arga Bright in Waverly, who treated him before he returned home. He endured delirium and unconsciousness but showed improvement after care.
Charles Vallery of Waverly, a farmer and businessman, was indicted by a grand jury for alleged acts. He was arraigned on the indictment before Judge J. Jones, pleaded not guilty, and was placed under a 3400 bond. The case set for Tuesday with trial on June 22.

Miss June Moore ten year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Menus Moore of near Minford narrowly escaped drowning in the Little Seine river near Wheelers Mill. A group of girls swinging over the river saw her fall in and several girls pulled her from the water. She swallowed water and was badly shocked but rescued.
The three high jobbing mill at Portsmouth works Wheeling Steel Corp will resume operation at 3 30 p m Monday. Em ployes are asked to report at that hour.
Immense snow flakes fell across Wyoming on Friday as Cheyenne reported a temperature of 30 degrees. Federal meteorologist Distérdick said the flakes were the largest he has seen, signaling an unseasonal winter storm in early June.
