Portsmouth Baby Clinic Finds Girls More Perfect Than Boys

The Woman's City Club sponsored Baby Clinic in Portsmouth awarded first prize to Ralph Bender Jr. and others for healthiest babies from ages 6 to 18 months, with many infants praised for near perfect health. About 110 children were examined by physicians and nurses, and prize money came from local banks and savings institutions.

Ohio Republican committeewoman Mrs Clark dies at luncheon

Mrs Hugh T Clark of Steubenville died of a heart attack moments after concluding a speech at the Buckeye Women’s Republican Club luncheon in Columbus. A former teacher and long a community volunteer, she was 60 years old and had served as a national committee member. Funeral plans delayed as relatives are notified. Survived by her husband and two sons, with duties to be filled by party central committee.
