King Land Sale Brings 12500 At McArthur
A public sale of 1200 acres of land near Vinton proceeded after Judge A L Chatlie overruled a motion to set aside the sale. Floyd King objected that an appraiser was not a freeholder. E R King bought the land for 12100 in the courthouse sale. Also noted, Heidelberg college trustees authorize a new men’s dormitory to be completed before the 1950 centennial.

Nancy Beth Kaltenbach, year old daughter of Mr and Mrs William Kaltenbach of South Webster, fell from a buggy and scraped her left hand. Two fingernails were broken beneath the cuticle and the infant was treated by Dr L B Hateh.
