A minor accident led to three traffic arrests reported by police on Friday. Floyd Graham said his car struck a machine owned by Frank Moore near Fourth and Court streets. Schultz, 30, of 603 Seventh Street, faced reckless driving and running a red light. Paul Doll and Harold Leininger were also involved.
County city and New Boston relief offices reopened today to spend 14000 remaining in the relief fund. At a special meeting Friday afternoon county commissioners ordered resumption of relief administration because they could see no advantage in keeping the balance impounded. It was cited that the 14000 could not be used for matching purposes after July 1, so the commissioners decided to use the money this month. Relief Director Ray McLaughlin recalled a staff of 18 investigators and clerks who were laid off May 25 when the relief office closed. What the county will do for relief funds after July 1 has not been determined. As the law now stands, the only way to obtain relief funds is through a voted relief levy or by transferring road and bridge funds to the relief fund. Commissioners are of the opinion that a levy would fail and contend that road funds are sufficient to permit a transfer.
Pan American airway's flying boat Atlantic Clipper completed its first round-flight to England landing at Port Washington at 8 42 a m carrying 123 pounds of mail and no passengers. It left the Azores at 12 32 p m yesterday. Its sister ship Yankee Clipper was set to leave later today on its second weekly run to England.
Observer Schirrman reports today at 11 am temperature 83 with a 70 degree minimum. Yesterday peaked at 89. The note marks one year age today with a maximum 82 and minimum 53.

Washington June 3 A report from well informed sources says President Roosevelt may veto the 1.218 billion farm bill adding to congressional tax overhaul challenges. He objects to unbudgeted 338 million farm payments without new taxes to fund them. If vetoed, congress could override, enact a budget without benefits, or tax to cover payments and reappropriate later. Agriculture Secretary Wallace lobbies for approval. some Democrats including Vice President Garner favor a veto. House Ways and Means contemplates corporate tax changes but not financing moves for farm outlays.
