Ex Adams Co Man Killed In Indiana Car Crash
John Jones 27 a former Winchester resident living in Anderson Indiana was killed instantly Friday afternoon in a car crash near Muncie Indiana. His wife Ruby 25 and son David Lee 3 and weeks old daughter Kathie were in the car. Mrs Jones suffered severe head lacerations and possible internal injuries. The son sustained a severe concussion and fractured leg and remains unconscious. The daughter escaped with minor injuries. The Joneses were bound for Winchester to attend a meeting and banquet of the High School Alumni Assn. Jones parents Mr and Mrs Logan Jones of Winchester followed and witnessed the crash. They had visited in Anderson for two weeks. Surviving besides the wife two children and his parents is a brother Horde of Anderson. Body to be returned to Winchester for burial. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Tragic gun accident claims Daniel Dunham at Smith Everett
Four year old Daniel Dunham of 820 Eighth Street died from a gunshot wound to the chest in Smith Everett Hospital. He had told police he was toying with a borrowed .22 revolver in his room when it discharged. The weapon and revolver lay on the floor near his bed as Mrs. Clarke found him critically wounded Friday evening. He was moved to Pratt ambulance and admitted just before 7. The incident remained under police investigation with a formal report filed.

New Serum Promising Countywide Rabies Vaccine Plan

The June session opens at 9 30 a m Monday with 22 cases on the docket including robbery by force and a shooting. Jurors report to Judge Vernon Smith late Monday. Joseph Robert Robinson 29 of 1313 High St faces possible indictment for beating and robbing a 70 year old grocer at Gallia Street May 18. The grocer was hospitalized with facial injuries after the attack. Robinson was captured within five minutes by City Detectives Parker and Albrecht across the street.
