A fragment heavy with dialogue describes Marylin, Dallas, and Sean in a stormy scene as pigs squeal near a lean-to and a roof threaten danger. A wide area of Ross and Pike counties has been excited since Saturday evening by the striking of an oil gusher near Richmondale in southeastern Ross county. The well, expected to yield 15 barrels a day, was struck on the Henry Dubois farm. James D. Corwin leads a firm of prospectors with thousands of acres in the area. this is their first gusher.
William Campbell of Lucasville and West Virginia bridge man suffered a severe foot accident at Davis station while boarding an eastbound train. His foot was crushed by the wheels, two toes were amputated at Park hospital, where he was taken soon after the incident.
Pearl Winkler, a North End shoe worker, sues Maud Winkler for divorce citing unfaithfulness with Tom Sabbs and past acts of alleged impropriety. The petition by attorney Corll S Miller names Kinney's Lane area and mentions August 10, 1907, as a date connected to their estranged life.
A fragment from a business directory features Sample Shoe Store at Eleventh and John Streets touting boots and shoes at low prices. It also lists The Corner Book Store and A Schapira, Prop offering books, stationery, dice, school supplies, wall paper, pictures, frames, and window glass at Second and Chillicothe.
Bakery offers Butter Crisps at 15 cents a dozen and ads for clothing cleaning, repairs, and sales. Listings show contractors, a liquor retailer, dry cleaners, funeral services, medicines, groceries, laundry, milliner, furniture, paint, plumbing, sign painting, sewing machines, and real estate. Numerous names and street addresses appear among the mixed classifieds.
