Area Scout News Girl Scout Troop Spreads Christmas Spirit
Girl Scout Troop 107 and Scioto Council units have spent six weeks sharing Christmas spirit through a unique “My Own Troop Badge” program. The girls, guided by Mrs. Drew Egleston and Mrs. Kenneth Ott, developed four badge requirements and visited Ohio Power Co, Hillcrest Home, Pitts Candy Factory, and local agencies to aid shut-ins, mail seals, and provide gifts and music across five counties. Dozens of troops planned service projects including toy mending, parties, and food drives benefiting Ports mouth Receiving Hospital and area aged homes. Hundreds of girls contributed hundreds of hours this Christmas season.
