Farmer Tracks Thief To Junk Shop For Stolen Plow

SLY JASPER T J Basham, a noted farmer, located his missing double shovel plow by tracing it to M Jacobs junk shop. He observed suspicious activity near his farm Tuesday and found the plow missing Wednesday. Jacobs said Jasper Pyles sold it to him and Basham will not prosecute if the plow is returned to its owner.

No Resignations Expected from City Commission

Four members of the city commission deny the rumor of resignations. They say the report has no foundation and only one member suspects two may be asked to resign by the council, though he doubts it. No General Registration for Spring Election Claims Official’s View

Smith W. Bennett special attorney in the attorney general’s office at Columbus says the spring election need not require a general registration. He cites authority in the new law allowing the board of elections to transfer names to registration books.
