South Shore marks holiday season with a Christmas tree lighting at the fire station. Santa Claus arrives December 21 at 4 p.m. with a rotating trophy and cash prizes for top home decorations, judged by the South Shore Chapter of the Kenighting of the Creative Arts League. Fire Chief Fred Bentley coordinates the event with sponsors First & Peoples Bank and local participants.
