President Nixon awaits a congressional ruling on possible federal income tax owed up to 300000 dollars plus interest after releasing his tax returns covering 1969 to 1972 and more than 50 related documents.
Jim Hightower of the Food Action Campaign testified before a Senate subcommittee arguing that concentration of market power by multinational firms is pushing the food industry toward a shortage comparable to the oil crisis. Clarence C. Sammons 30 of Jackson died in a one car crash on Route 776 three miles south of Route 124 at 1 30 a m.
