Ohio deer gun season faces compulsory check stations
Ohio hunters will face compulsory check of deer taken during the opening gun season from Sem to Nov. 4. About 25,000 to 30,000 hunters are expected with required deer permits and tagging rules in place. The Ohio Division of Wildlife allocated funds for check stations and noted federal support from the Fish and Wildlife Service for hunting and fishing improvements.
