Jetliner Crash at Logan Kills 68 Die LEdge of Seawall
Delta Flight 723 crashed while attempting a landing at Logan International Airport. Sixty eight people died and one survivor was hospitalized in critical condition. The jet clipped a seawall and disintegrated after descending short of the runway in fog. Investigators from the NTSB began work as weather briefly closed the airport. The plane had departed Burlington Vermont and made an unscheduled stop in Manchester New Hampshire before the fatal approach.
