Davis stays close to home with WFL Sun
ANAHEIM AP Anthony Davis chose the World Football League over the NFL to remain in Southern California signing a five year deal reported around 2 million with the Southern California Sun. Davis cited roots friends family and home as key reasons. His agent said the package included a substantial front money and a Rolls Royce. The Jets offered less money and had hoped to sign him but Davis moved to the Sun with a guaranteed contract. Davis set NCAA kickoff return records at USC and finished runner up for the Heisman Trophy.
