Fat Albert may find classroom path in education effort
Los Angeles AP reports the Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids animated series could be marketed to school districts for use in kindergarten through third grade classes starting in September. McGraw-Hill Films will distribute eight aired episodes with teaching guides by Gordon L. Berry UCLA. Filmation’s Norm Prescott and Lou Scheimer praise the project, noting educators’ input shaped the episodes to teach topics like drugs lying and stereotyping without preaching.
