Harlingen 2 Car Crash Kills Four
Four motorists died and four were seriously injured when two cars collided on U.S. 77 in Harlingen. Vehicle driven by Jack Reinhardt 32 of Markham tried to turn around a median and was struck broadside by Sammy Genovese 30 of Santa Rosa. Names of the deceased include Jackie Reinhardt 30 Aubrey Ray Carroll 33 Jimmy Lee Wilkerson 33 and Karen Loretta Williams 29. The injured were Marilyn Carroll 23 and Robin Reinhardt Wilkerson 29.

Siamese Twins Born at Galveston Hospital
Barbara Ann Jones of Beaumont gave birth to conjoined twin girls at John Sealy Hospital. The babies, joined at the abdomen and chest, weighed a combined nine pounds eight ounces and were delivered by Caesarean section. Both mother and twins are in hospital. the twins are reported in serious and the mother in satisfactory condition.
