Port Poll to be Conducted
The district plans a door to door and personal visit follow up for non respondents on the April 1 2 weekend with calls and visits to complete the poll. District officials and residents debate plans as a hearing in district court produced no action and April 8 9 are set for further attempts. Ramiro Robles and Roger McKnight lead the project with PAU Brownsville class members conducting Q A sessions to draft standard answers for voters. Results are expected in early May to guide enabling legislation for a January vote.
