Lifeboat Station Welcomes New Member and Unit News
Rosalio Hernandez arrives from USCGC UNIMAR in Cape May after 16 years in the area. He and his Texas family plan to move to Port Isabel as CHBOSNH Jr marks 26 years of service and other coast guard staff reach multi-year milestones. A Mayday rescue near Port Isabel ends with CAPE YORK tow and RIM support. The RELIANCE cutter debuts in 1964. Lifeboat Station name to be discontinued after July amid coast guard history notes.
