Lions Club Horse Show Events Changes

Laguna Vista Library Hours Begin June 16

Padre Surf Drowns Two Teenagers On South Padre Island

Two teens drowned on South Padre Island this week. Leticia Flores 15 and a San Diego visitor Richard Bergen 17 were found dead in the Gulf. Flores was an eighth grade student at Gay Junior High School and is survived by her mother, father, and four sisters. Bergen was visiting with California students and died in an accidental drowning near the Dunes Motel. Funeral services held for Flores at First Mexican Baptist Church in Harlingen with burial in Loma Linda Cemetery.
